Gate Gourmet Launches "Buy On Board" Concept with Ted

Gate Gourmet has been named the preferred airline caterer for Ted, United's low fare airline, for its "Buy On Board" concept.

The "Buy On Board" concept offers airline passengers the option to purchase reasonably priced, restaurant-quality food in the convenience of their seats.

Gate Gourmet catered the first daily Ted flight from Denver to Ft. Lauderdale in February. Additional routes to be phased in over a four-month period include Denver to New Orleans, Tampa, and Orlando, and from Washington Dulles to Las Vegas.

Ted's menus feature food from Gate Gourmet's restaurant partners Bennigan's Grill and Tavern, Au Bon Pain, and Eli's Cheesecake, as well as Gate Gourmet's own brand, Flight Gourmet.  Gate Gourmet will be preparing the food from its in-flight kitchens in Denver, New Orleans, Tampa, Orlando, Washington Dulles and Las Vegas.
