e-gatematrix Acquires CAlibre Airline Services

London, July 14, 2004 - e-gatematrix, a division of Gate Gourmet, announces the purchase of 100 percent of the shares in CAlibre Airline Services Ltd., including 20 per cent held by Alpha Catering Services.

CAlibre is a group of companies primarily focused on software and service provision for the travel and facilities management industries. CAlibre is known in the airline industry for their SPACE software (Stowage Planning And Catering Equipment), including the globally market-leading Galley Planning application. e-gatematrix' and CAlibre's new relationship will build on the companies' existing technologies, infrastructure and people to create the global leader in in-flight solutions.

The CAlibre SPACE brand remains, as does CAlibre's base in the UK. The companies' product ranges will run in parallel for the foreseeable future. CAlibre staff numbers may increase to service additional e-gatematrix customers in Europe and Asia-Pacific. CAlibre founder Roger Broome, who has now become Vice President of e-gatematrix Europe, said: "Joining forces with e-gatematrix protects the future for our customers, our staff and our products, and will allow us to offer more choice and a better service to the industry. CAlibre and Gate Gourmet have been partners, customers, friends and competitors for the past eight years. Individual Gate Gourmet units have used SPACE software; e-gatematrix also has been a SPACE customer.
