MEMPHIS, TN, March 30, 2005 - Officials of Gate Serve, a subsidiary of Gate Gourmet that provides pack-aged food and beverage items for several airlines at Chicago O'Hare Airport, today have applied for the necessary city license to resume operation at the Gate Serve warehouse.
No meals are prepared at that facility. Due to an administrative oversight, the city license inadvertently expired. The Gate Serve facility's Illinois business license, however, is current.
Airline customers are being served without interruption from other company facilities at the airport.
Compliance with all applicable health and sanitation standards are top priorities at Gate Gourmet, and the company is in the process of addressing the issues raised by city inspectors.
