Thai Airways and Gate Gourmet Sign MOU

RESTON, VA, March 9, 2006 - Gate Gourmet Switzerland GmbH and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in providing airline catering services at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand.

Mrs. Pismai Chandrubeksa, Managing Director of Thai Catering Department said, "We believe that together with our expertise, we are able to efficiently operate the large-scale catering operation at the Suvarnabhumi Airport and secure the smooth transfer of existing customers to the Suvarnabhumi airport."

For Gate Gourmet, the arrangement would ensure its current customers a seamless move to Suvarnabhumi Airport with the same level of service and customer satisfaction they currently experience at the present Bangkok International Airport.

The MOU between THAI and Gate Gourmet will include catering services at Bangkok International Airport after the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport and the final agreement to be negotiated by April 30, 2006.

Among the activities in which the two companies would cooperate are operational systems, information technology solutions and marketing.

THAI and Gate Gourmet have also agreed to explore possibilities of cooperation inside and outside of Thailand in the fields of airline catering, restaurants, special events catering and Puff & Pie Bakery House including the introduction of Thai food to the public in accordance with the Thai government's "Kitchen to the World" program.
