Gate Gourmet Management Changes
Reston, Va, january 2, 2007 - Gate Gourmet has made a number of management changes recently to streamline the organization to improve customer service and reduce costs. Among them:
- Operations executives in the Americas and Europe now report directly to Chairman and CEO Dave Siegel.
- Ron Howard, formerly President of Americas, has moved into a new role as a non-executive vice chairman. North America is now headed by Andrew Gibson as President of the U.S. region. Latin America is led by Edwin Garcia as President of the Latin America region.
- In Europe, Eric Born becomes Senior Vice President responsible for the West and South areas. Philippe Op de Beeck becomes SVP of the Central region, which includes a center of excellence for on-going product development in Europe, and ongoing business in Scandinavia.
- EVP, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer Guy Dubois will lead and coordinate sales and marketing worldwide.
- Asia-Pacific President Mark Wall continues to head business development in that region and adds the Middle East, including the restaurant business in Turkey. Mark joined Gate Gourmet in August 2006 after 22 years with General Electric Corp.’s plastics division, including as president of GE Plastics Japan.
- In an earlier announcement, Marcel Beraud has been promoted to SVP, Chief Operating Officer, where he is responsible for all operations in the U.S., including functional responsibility for Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance and Culinary Excellence.
