Gate Gourmet and Vama provide full catering services to Emirates Airlines' London Heathrow lounge.

Gate Gourmet is well known as airline caterer, but did you know that Gate Gourmet is also a lounge caterer? A number of renowned airlines have entrusted us with catering their airport lounges at airports in Europe and Asia.

For example, in Europe, Emirates Airlines inaugurated its dedicated lounge at London Heathrow in October 2006. Gate Gourmet London, in cooperation with London's upmarket Indian restaurant Vama, provides full catering services to this addition to the rapidly growing number of Emirates lounges around the globe.

Together with Vama, Gate Gourmet is managing the entire lounge and provides a range of western and regional hot and cold buffet meals including breakfasts, lunches, dinners and afternoon tea throughout the day.

Food production and logistics are being handled by Gate Gourmet's Heathrow South operation, and Vama -- which in 2000 was awarded the Carlton Best London Restaurant Award -- is managing the final food preparation, customer service and housekeeping in the lounge.
